01 — The floor you live with

Start with what the finish is doing.

Dull paths, scratches, and uneven color are the usual reasons to call. On the form, describe the rooms, the approximate size, and what you see. Photos or a short video, sent by text, help us understand the floor.

02 — Boards before the machine

The room is cleared before the sanding.

Furniture and rugs come off the hardwood so the sander can reach the field and the edges. Sanding starts once the floor is open.

03 — Back to the wood

Sanding takes the old finish off.

Where a full refinish is the right approach, the old coating comes off so the grain is even again. This is dusty work. We will tell you which rooms to clear and how long to stay off the floor.

04 — Color, if you want it

Stain is optional.

A clear finish keeps the wood close to its natural color. Stain moves it lighter or darker. The species decides how even that color can be, which is why photos of the floor help us talk through the options.

Then the floor is coated and left to cure.

Furniture, rugs, and pets wait until the finish can take them. We will give you that timing for your house before the job starts.
